STEP 02
Consultation & Design Planning
A trained staff member will carefully listen to your concerns. We’ll assess your scalp condition and work with you to decide on the design, density, and coverage area that suits you best.
STEP 03
1st Treatment Session
Each dot is applied one by one with our dedicated machine. Most clients say the discomfort was far less than expected. Shampoo is permitted on the same day. A 2nd session is booked for one week later.
STEP 04
2nd Session Onwards (Total: 2–5 sessions)
Rather than going dense all at once, we gradually increase the density so it looks like natural growth. We check how the first session has settled and work toward your ideal result step by step.
STEP 05
Ongoing Maintenance (every 1–2 years)
Over 2–5 years, the pigment will gradually soften. We recommend a touch-up every 1–2 years to keep it looking its best. Maintenance sessions take less time than the original treatment (individual variation applies).

Questions we hear most often
Traditional scalp tattoos are extremely painful, but Scalp Ink deposits pigment in a much shallower layer, resulting in significantly less discomfort. Many clients describe it as “a light tapping with a toothpick,” and some even find it relaxing enough to fall asleep. No anesthesia is required (individual variation applies).
Virtually none. You can shampoo the same day and return to everyday activities immediately. However, for approximately one week after the session we recommend avoiding sunburn, saunas, intense exercise, and spicy food — anything that causes heavy sweating.
Typically 2–5 sessions to complete the treatment. As a guide: ¥1.5 per dot (standard rate) or the Monitor Price of ¥29,800 for a 30,000-dot package. The total dot count varies by coverage area and density, so we provide a full estimate at your consultation.
Because pigment is placed at a shallower level than a conventional tattoo, it gradually fades over 2–5 years due to sun exposure, perspiration, and skin cell turnover. We recommend a maintenance touch-up every 1–2 years (individual variation applies).
Scalp Ink uses our original ink which has passed the rigorous testing of the MFDS (Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, South Korea). You can safely undergo MRI scans without any concern.
Yes, we can travel anywhere in Japan. Mobile visit treatments are priced at ¥2 per dot plus actual travel expenses. Please contact us via email with your preferred location and timing to discuss arrangements.
